Crafted Analog is not a nostalgia project. It is not anti-tech. It is not fake craft. It is a platform for physical things made by real people — inspired by a real lesson from a real project.
Shopify exists to make commerce better for everyone. That mission is not abstract — it lives in the hundreds of thousands of makers, craftspeople, and small businesses who build their livelihoods on it. When Linebox Studio was asked to design Shopify's offices, Andrew brought that mission into the walls. The vendors Shopify serves became physically present in the spaces where Shopify works. Their objects — their craft — sat on the desks, lined the shelves, filled the rooms. It was one of the most meaningful briefs of his career.
That experience changed something. The idea that the things people make deserve to be seen, touched, used, and celebrated — not just sold — is what Crafted Analog is built on.
Andrew Reeves is the founder of Linebox Studio in Ottawa. He designed those spaces. He worked with those makers. He has spent 25 years specifying objects for people who care deeply about how things are made — and 25 years watching good objects get overlooked because nobody told their story properly. This site is an attempt to do that differently.
Ashlyn is 17. She finds the things Andrew hasn't heard of yet. She is frequently right.
Chloe is 14. She makes things with her hands and understands objects from the inside out. She doesn't always agree with what's on this site. When she doesn't, she says so.
Every product here has a maker. A vendor. A reason it exists. We are not hiding that behind a platform. The vendor is the hero.

The idea of Crafted Analog (for me) comes from a lifelong respect for real things and the people who make them.
My years as Shopify’s architect sharpened that respect — watching their commitment to merchants, makers, and small businesses become something genuine and powerful. This shop is part of that journey: a place to find objects made with care, chosen with care, and worth holding onto.
