Andrew: I hate wires. The plastic cord is the thing that ruins an otherwise considered space. I've specified lighting in a lot of projects and the wire is always the problem — it's an afterthought, an apology, something to hide. Conway Goods makes cloth-wrapped cords that make the wire part of the object instead of an apology for it. Pendants, sconces, cord sets, switches. When you do need a wire, it should look like this.
Ashlyn: Dad pointed out that most things are wireless now and then immediately started talking about why wired things are better. I pointed out the contradiction. He said "but when you do need a wire, it should be a good one." Which, fine. But also — do you need a wire? Worth asking before you buy. If the answer is yes, Conway is clearly the move.
Chloe: I actually think these are really nice. I've been into making things for my room and the cord situation is always annoying — everything looks cheap because of the cord. These don't look cheap. The colours are good. I'd use these.
